Melanie A. Marotta received her PhD in English from Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland. She is a Lecturer in the Department of English and Language Arts. Marotta is an editor for the Museum of Science Fiction’s Journal of Science Fiction and has been a member of the SFRA since 2012. Marotta’s research focuses on sf, the American West, contemporary American Literature (in particular African American), Young Adult, and Ecocriticism. She is currently working on a collection about the sf Western.
