K.M. Ferebee is a doctoral candidate in English at The Ohio State University. Her work is located in the field of Environmental Literature, and focuses on narratives of mutation, toxicity, and bodily change in the texts of the Anthropocene, particularly examining the anxiety surrounding radioactive contamination. Her academic interests include posthumanism, human rights rhetoric, queer theory, pop culture studies, and science fiction. Her academic work has appeared or is forthcoming in Prose Studies and ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment. She is also the author of speculative fiction that has appeared in Tor.comStrange Horizons, Shimmer, and Lady Churchill’s Rosebud Wristlet. For more information, visit www.kmferebee.com.
